Unique services for VA and mail order residents
IntegraCare Pharmacy offers the unique service of re-packaging medications for your VA and mail order residents. This service allows your facility to utilize only one dispensing system instead of several! We pride ourselves on being one of the few pharmacy providers willing to repackage medications for your residents. By repackaging medications, we eliminate the necessity of your nurses searching through various containers of medication.
Cost Containment Programs
As a standard of practice, IntegraCare Pharmacy routinely offers medication packaged in a limited day’s supply through the OPUS 7 or 14 day system. The medication is automatically refilled and retroactively charged to the appropriate payor souce. This practice allows us to charge only one dispensing fee per month. For your Part A residents, a limited day’s supply is also available through our standard punch cards.By capturing the correct payor source, your facility is saved much needed dollars.
IntegraCare Pharmacy’s billing experts are thoroughly trained in long term care billing requirements. We have contracted with all Alabama Medicare Part D Drug Plans. Our pharmacists are committed to working with your physicians to change a non-covered medication to a covered medication wherever appropriate. We continuously seek opportunities to save your facility and residents drug expenditure.
